“Your pooch may be smarter than the average dog‚ canine Mensa material, to be exact‚ but the premise for the Amazing Treat Machine is so simple that even the dumber-than-dirt dog will get it: Tennis ball goes in, tennis ball and treats come out.” July 2009

Wow this is a cool use of corrugated cardboard! I am having a ball with the toy! Thank you so much! I just think from a design perspective it’s brilliant. It’s amazing what you an do with cardboard and a plastic bottle…very inspiring!

Aussie Jane (9 yr. old Australian Shepherd) & Winston Churchill (4 yr. old Border Collie/ Great Pyrenees) love their new toy. They work together, Winston gets the ball (typical Border…ball, ball, ball) and drops it in while Aussie lays in front of it and starts grabbing the treats as they come out. It took them about 10 minutes to work that out. He also discovered if he gently drops the ball only one or two treats come out but, if he throws it down several treats come out. Thanks for inventing this toy, they get so excited when I put it down.

Everyone loved the Amazing Treat Machine. I will be providing a Boredom Busters class to a local shelter in November and the Amazing Treat machine will once again be one of the toys we introduce.

This innovative toy is a great boredom buster and a training tool. Not only will this toy feed your dog and keep her busy on those rainy days, but it can be used to train new behaviors, too. With careful application, you can teach your dog to pick up her toys and put them away, to throw away trash, to sort the laundry, or to play doggie basketball. It can even help improve toy and ball drive in your dog.
This is certainly not an indestructible toy. That said, I have owned and used mine for several months with no noticeable damage to the box. I occasionally replace the bottle, more to avoid having to wash any smell out of it.
I am very satisfied with this ‘machine’. I have recommended it to friends and clients, and will do so in the future.

I bought this for my Belgian Tervuren. He loves it. I put his food into the bottle and he will happily work at getting his food. He gives me a dirty look when I put his food in his bowl instead of using the “magic box”. If you fill the bottle nearly full the food will come out slowly-Andre will drop the ball into the box over and over even when the food does not come out. I just bought another one so I will have a spare it the first one wares out.

I really didn’t think my dog could, err – I could teach my dog how to do it, but I did! It took 2 weeks but I have a happier dog because of this toy. Thank you!

We find that Coco gets into “a zone” when playing with her Amazing Treat Machine. The look reminds me of the expression that is on the faces of slot machine gamblers. We decided to use this to help teach her to be calm in the presence of visitors to our home. We keep the pre-filled Amazing Treat Machine on top of our refrigerator. Coco used to look like a junk yard dog when visitors came to the house; barking and snarling. Because we bring her Amazing Treat Machine down only when visitors come, now she races to the kitchen and looks up to her beloved “addiction.” We place it on the floor and allow visitors to give her the tennis ball. Then Coco goes into her zone, and we can chat with our visitors in peace and quiet. Playing with her machine seems to calm her, such that by the time she has emptied the machine of 1/2 cup of kibble, she quietly accepts visitors. Yeah! I hope this works for other people with fearful dogs.
